South Tyrol and its breathtaking countryside are characterized by its contrasts between alpine mountain ranges and Mediterranean wine regions. The destination is known for the unparalleled beauty of the Dolomite Alps; a UNESCO world heritage site. South Tyrol is home to many specialties like apples, wine and bacon which all boast particularly high quality due to the longstanding know how of the local farmers and the mild climate with over 300 days of sun. It is one of the most favorable living areas in Europe where a real sense for innovation and design is noticeable amidst tradition. IDM promotes South Tirol as a holiday destination in Germany and seven additional European markets. We develop strategies and measures hand in hand with IDM which sustainably strengthen the tourism destination in the German market.
